Blue Coleman (6201A748) 100 Qt. Wheeled Xtreme® Cooler (holds up to 130 cans)
keeps ice up to 5 days at 90° F
The Coleman 6201A748 aka Xtreme 100 quart cooler is the greatest thing since sliced bread for camping. The model I got was blue but I did notice that there was some red ones too. The design is pretty strong and well thought out.
This can double as a seat for most people, thou if your really heavy, I would not try and use it as a seat. I have stuffed about 2- 24pks and a bunch of meat for a weekend camping trip and I still have a little room left over.
I would say that the 100 price tag that I got it for was well worth it. It says that it will save ice for 5 days in 90 degree weather but I have yet to test it that long, but it did hold the ice for the 3 day trip I had. It has wheels if you need to move the thing around the campsite.
They are on the small side so don't try and run through mud or sand with it. The lid comes with can holders so you have a place to put your beer when your eating.
Another good point is that the insulation inside of this thing is environmentally so if you need to get rid of it, your not tearing up the planet. The small gripes I have with this cooler is that I wish it had more can holders, the few on it isn't really enough for me.
I was also told by the person selling it to me that I didn't have to tip it for it to drain but you do, but just a little, nothing major. So even older folks can use this without worrying about throwing out the back to drain it since it is a 100 quart cooler. Just let it drain all it will and tip, don't try to rush it if its full of ice/water. If it was full of water, it would be around 200 pounds since a quart weighs 2 pounds, this isn't including the 22 pounds that the thing weights to start off with, which is pretty heavy if you cant roll it. Also if it is full of water, do drain it before moving or you could risk breaking the wheels.
Overall a good large cooler for any trip, or if the power goes out, you can double this as a small fridge for a few days. Yes, I have used it for that and it works great.
I would rate this as a 5 out of 5 Pros Keeps Ice and your food cold for a very very long time. It is very big, the instructions say it can hold 130 cans of beer/soda
It doesn't fully drain without tipping it but it isn't the end of the world. The wheels feel a little weak if you try to roll it full of ice and water. Plus not very good for mud or sand, they wont roll, more of a drag.
