The PSDF5YGXSS is a side-by-side 24.6 cu.ft. refrigerator that sports a number of useful and convenient features such as Fresh food DOOR BINS and the quiet package for NOISELESS performance. The unit features a top-of-the-line temperature management system called the ClimateKeeper 2.
Other temperature management features include TurboCool Setting, 5 electronic sensors and multi-air-flow system.
The PSDS5YGXSS also comes with an INTEGRATED ICE MAKING system which dispenses crushed or cubed ice.
The dispenser comes with a DISPENSER LIGHT, precise refilling features, patented Quick Ice technology, Ultra Flow 100 and a DOOR ALARM. The dispenser is also fitted with a child lock and a water filter indicator light.
The PSDF5YGXSS comes with FRESH FOOD CABINET shelving done in glass. They are ADJUSTABLE, with two SLIDE OUT SHELVES and 2 SPILL PROOF SHELVES.
The Fresh food door bins are comprised of 4 CLEAR COMPARTMENTS,3 adjustable and 1 with gallon storage.
There is a DAIRY COMPARTMENT on the door.
The top drawer has an ADJUSTABLE TEMPERATURE while the middle drawer has adjustable humidity. The bottom drawer boasts of a custom cool full extension.
The unit has easy-to-remove door gaskets.
The unit also comes fitted with the QUIET package for ultimate silence.
The FRESHNESS CENTER keeps fruit and vegetables crisp and fresh. This GE model is offered in THREE great colors:- High Gloss Black (PSDF5YGXBB) High Gloss White(PSDF5YGXWW) and Stainless Steel (PSDS5YGXSS) There is an actual temperature display that shows electronic readouts.
A leveling system for all corners is in place in order to correctly set the height of the unit.

The side by side design makes this suitable in crowded kitchens. One of the main complaints coming from this unit is the VIBRATION that occurs when the ice maker and the water dispenser are on.
The LARGE SIZE does not make this a popular option for those living in small apartments.
