Kenmore (29702) WHITE Upright Freezer 6.5 cu ft

The Kenmore 29702 is a fairly compact CFC freezer with a capacity of 6.5 cu ft. The temperature is easily adjusted with the exterior controls and has a manual defrost system.
This is a nice looking, easy access freezer with has fairly basic but reasonable internal organization including fixed storage shelving.

Interior Features

This freezer has a Mechanical Temperature CONTROL, which is positioned on the outside of the unit at the top.

This is a mode that comes with no door storage but has four fixed shelves, making five reasonable sized storage areas.

The manual temperature controls are internal and can easily be used to change the temperature to your requirements.

Exterior Features

This comes in just the one color, a white cabinet with a smooth finish on the door.

There is a small pocket style, self colored handle.

Advantages

For those that think about downsizing after the family has grown up and left, this has an ideal purchase as it is room and yet compact for a smaller family.

This is a high efficient COMPRESSOR which is environmentally friendly as it is CFC free.

This is listed as being a low noise and quiet running freezer, but there have been some complaints about the noise that it produced.

Having ADJUSTABLE LEGS is an advantage as it can be positioned anywhere that may be a little uneven, with no determent.

The easy roll wheels allow this to be easily moved, for cleaning purposes.

Disadvantages

One customer was very concerned with the very loud functioning of this freezer, considering it to be significantly louder that comparable models.

One customer felt that this compared with a similar size chest freezer there was insufficient storage space. This is NOT Frost Free which is a disadvantage as it requires manual defrosting.
