Kenmore chest freezer, model #19502010

I purchased this freezer from Sears on 4/25/2011. I received a letter regarding the energy rebate and completed the information. I received a rebate check in November, 2012. I went in my freezer after having it a little over a year and all of my food was defrosted. Therefore, I had to throw everything in the trash. I contacted the store only to be told that my warranty had expired. I went on the internet to look for troubleshooting answers for the reason that the freezer jumps on and off but not getting cool. I was surprised to find out the number of customers that purchased this same freezer was having the exact same problem. The majority of the complaints purchased the freezer in 2011 as I did. Kenmore (Sears brand) has always stood behind their mertchandise by replacement or reimbursement. This should be the solution for all of the customers that purchased this freezer.
