New Air 28 Bottle Thermoelectric Wine Cooler (Model AW-280E)

My husband is a big wine aficionado, so for his birthday last year I purchased the New Air Thermoelectric Wine Cooler for our basement bar area. It had pretty decent reviews on the website

I purchased it from and it was within my budget (not over $200), so I figured it would work perfectly for him. He was more than elated when I gave it to him and immediately grabbed wines weve had stowed away (literally, we have boxes!) and started stocking up the fridge.

The controls were pretty easy to operate and were very sleek and high-tech like, as it operates on a touch-screen (perfect for my touch-screen loving husband). He loved the LED light display and that the bottles we had fit perfectly AND he loves being able to temperature control his wines.

I will say that I wasn't pleased that the machine made a soft buzzing (machine running noise). I was pretty excited that I was purchasing a 'silent' machine and I wasn't happy that it made a noise, but I didn't mention it to my husband and we are only in the basement entertaining, so the noise doesn't really matter or affect anything.

Since buying it, he has used some WD-40 to 'grease' up the places where you move the racks in and out so that he can see the wines better when choosing one because the racks seemed a little 'tight' to him. I'm not sure I'm a big fan of the wire racks anyhow, but if he?s okay with it, so am I.

We're going to be purchasing another fridge soon, because he's already run out of space and I might just buy another one of these so that they match perfectly, as the pros far outweigh the cons and I'd probably rate it a 4 out of 5 for its value for the price.
