Pros
– It’s attractive to look at. It’s economical.

– The cooling is not very effective, especially in warm climates. There could have been more features, like automatic defrost.

The refrigerator I use is Samsung RA20. I am using it from last 5 years. Its total capacity is 195 litres and it is sufficient for a family with 2-3 members.

The net weight of the refrigerator is 40 kg. Initially I was hesitant to buy a Samsung, however it came with this new technology called ‘Bio Fresh’ which was quite impressive. It helps in keeping vegetables fresh for a longer time.

Also it was one of the first refrigerators to come in silver color, which made it look very attractive and unique. I wanted something different and the basic colors available in the market had become quite boring and monotonous. The color silver was a fresh change and gave it a sleek look. It was also within my budget and so I selected it.

The refrigerator has 3 open compartments divided by wire shelves. It has a covered vegetable compartment with a small sliding lever on top as an air vent. This is used to keep the vegetables fresh for a longer duration.

The ice-making compartment or the freezer compartment is on the top with a chilling tray or meat tray just beneath it. Since this is a small size refrigerator the space utilization has been done very well. The door contains all the essential shelves. There are two large shelves for bottles, with slider to keep the bottles in place and avoid unnecessary movement while opening and closing of the door. On top, it has an egg tray and two more multipurpose trays.

There is a temperature control dial with three temperature levels and a defrost button. It even has a room lamp and a deodorizer.

Overall I’m satisfied with this model. Though I wouldn’t say it is the best available, but it serves my purpose and has not given me any trouble yet. |

When we moved into a new house, we were looking for some replacements of our home appliances. Our first choice was a refrigerator. After a long search, we decided to buy Samsung RA 20 Refrigerator.

This brand was our choice because it was the best choice according to our budget and requirements. This product is a single door refrigerator manufactured and distributed by Samsung. Although Samsung provides many other models, this was one of the best. The color was strange as it does not match with the color of other appliances that we had. It has a beautiful drink dispenser in its front which makes it more attractive.

The dimension was quite good. It has height of 134 cm; width around 54cm, depth of 60 cm and it is freestanding. It has 2 plastic shelves inside which can be moved. Its holding capacity is good. A tray is also fixed under the freezer which can be slide out.

We use to keep packet milk there so that it’s easy to take. Normally this place is having the lowest degree after the freezer. The door contains egg tray capable of holding 15 eggs and 2 other trays which we can place water bottle or any other bottles. It’s used only for placing bottles and not food items because the door may not be able to close as in other refrigerators.

The freezer section seems good and has 2 ice-cube trays. The frozen foods section is also good. But the problem is it must not be filled heavily otherwise it will not work properly. It has an overall capacity of about 200 liters. Freezer capacity is around 20 liters and rest 180 liters are refrigerator capacity. This product offers a stabilizer free operation (135-290v). Other features are PUF type of Insulation, Dial temperature control, Shelves of wire material. Price ranges from 195 to 235 USD.
