Pros
- An alarm will chime if the door is left ajar.
- The freezer is easier to organize and actually see what is in there when compared to a standard refrigerator.

Cons
- The ice maker makes a lot of noise when it’s on and dumping ice cubes.
- The refrigerator part doesn’t seem to offer as much storage as a standard model.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator last December. The freezer is a pull-out drawer on the bottom; the refrigerator is on top with french-doors. It is stainless. I did not opt for the door dispensing ice, water, etc. This is by far the most expensive refrigerator I have ever purchased, but so far, I am quite pleased with it.

There is a cold water dispenser (with a changeable filter) in the inside. The door shelves are quite deep and useful. The freezer is very accessible, with a large divided drawer on the bottom, and the ice maker and additional storage in top drawer that pulls out. I feel it holds more than the traditional side-by-side freezer/fridge.

Pros
- Freezer on bottom
- Energy Star compliant

Cons
- Not a lot of space to maneuver the shelves (moving a shelf may give space in one area while drastically reducing in another)
- Exterior stainless collects fingerprints very easily (difficult to keep shiny and clean)

This is a wonderful refrigerator. It has all the features we were looking for at an unbeatable price. Originally $2000, the refrigerator was marked down to $1300 when we purchased it. It is 26 cubic feet. The shelves are movable so that you can reposition them to fit the needs of whatever food item you are placing in the refrigerator.

Because of the French doors, you are able to maneuver items more easily to get them into the refrigerator. The stainless steel French doors are a very attractive look that complements our kitchen very nicely. And with the freezer on bottom, it is very convenient as it leaves the top portion open for “eye level” refrigeration. No need to bend over for everyday needs.

One of the most important features is that the refrigerator is Energy Star compliant. We live in an area where electricity is NOT cheap. So, this is a big help. There is a twin cooling system with separate controls for the refrigerator and freezer. There is a humidity controlled drawer for fruits and vegetables. This is nice because it helps keep them fresher longer.

The Cool Select Pantry allows you to take items from the freezer and thaw them right in the refrigerator. The easy open handle on the freezer allows you to open the freezer door and both trays come out together. This is great for loading the freezer and accessing the ice box. This Samsung model also has a water dispenser.

This is located inside the refrigerator. We did not know this feature was part of the refrigerator until it was delivered. A nice bonus! Another great feature is the open door alarm. We never have to worry about accidentally leaving the doors open or not closing them tight enough. An alarm sounds to let us know the doors are not properly closed.
